The PC-9 is an advanced trainer based on the popular PC-7 Turbo-Trainer aircraft (see separate database entry). Although outwardly similar (especially in planform), the two aircraft have only a 10 percent commonality of components. The PC-9 is more powerful, faster and has higher aerobatic g limits.
