The P3 was a basic and intermediate flight trainer also used for ground attack training.
The P3 had a nose-mounted piston engine, tandem two-seat cockpit, low-set wing with a short straight section joined to a dihedral, double-tapered second section, a two-stage tailfin with rudder, and a double-tapered tailfin set at the rear of the fuselage. The plane had a retractable tricycle landing gear.
