The MFI-15 Safari and its armed variant, the MFI-17 Supporter, are Swedish-built light aircraft suitable for flight and ground attack training as well as light counterinsurgency missions.
The shoulder-mounted wing is supported by parallel struts and is forward-swept in both leading and trailing edges. The leading edge is slotted at the wing root, which is located just behind the pilots' seats. The wing lacks anhedral or dihedral angles.
