The L29 Delfin ("dolphin" in English) was designed and built in the former Czechoslovakia. This aircraft won a 1962 competition to become the standard Warsaw Pact trainer. It was then supplied to every Warsaw Pact nation but Poland. It remains in service with several Third World nations.
