Taranis is an unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) demonstrator program designed to develop cutting-edge aircraft technologies, including stealth and advanced autonomy capabilities. The air vehicle may also be able to carry ground attack weaponry. Taranis could lead to a British decision to field a deep-strike UCAV by 2020.
