The Euro Hawk was a high-altitude long endurance (HALE) remotely piloted aircraft based on Northrop Grumman's RQ-4 Block 20 Global Hawk system (see separate record). The aircraft was equipped with an EADS-developed signals intelligence mission system. The mission system provided stand-off capability to detect electronic intelligence (ELINT) and communications intelligence (COMINT) emitters. EADS also built ground stations to receive and analyze data collected by Euro Hawk.
