The Archangel low-altitude long-endurance (LALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was a developmental expendable aircraft intended for use as a surveillance and reconnaissance platform.
Drawing on commercial LALE UAV concepts, the Archangel used an Iridium global satellite communications relay for primary data transmission and air vehicle controls.
Some prototypes were built and flown. A heavy fuel engine was said to be in development in 2003.
