The ZDK-03 Karakorum Eagle is an airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft jointly designed by China and Pakistan and built in China. The ZDK-03 is part of the second stage of Pakistan's effort to upgrade its air defense capabilities.
The aircraft is based on the Shaanxi Y-8F600 transport aircraft. It is powered by four WJ-6C turboprop engines driving six-bladed, high-efficiency propellers.
