OV-1 Mohawk STOL recon aircaft

The OV-1 Mohawk short-takeoff-and-landing (STOL) battlefield reconnaissance aircraft was one of the few fixed-wing aircraft flown by the U.S. Army. Although capable of carrying weapons pods and ordnance, the Mohawk was not normally armed because of a U.S. Dept. of Defense ruling that fixed-wing aircraft armed for close air support missions come under the aegis of the Air Force. It is no longer in U.S. service.
