The Il-22 Coot-B is an airborne command post (ABNCC) variant of the Il-18 Coot commercial airliner and military transport (see separate database entry).

The Coot's low, double-tapered wing has a high aspect ratio, squared wing tips and double-slotted trailing-edge flaps located inboard of long ailerons.
