The E-4 National Emergency Airborne Command Post (NEACP, pronounced "kneecap) was redesignated as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) in 1994. The NAOC is a Boeing 747 fitted with communications equipment and antennas to act as the National Command Authority (NCA) operations center in the event of nuclear war.
