The DA42 Twin Star is a small twin-engine aircraft built from ultra-light, high-strength composite materials. The Twin Star is available with two engine options. The first option uses Thielert Centurion 1.7 turbodiesel engines that can run on either diesel or Jet A1 fuel. With the standard tank of 52 gallons (197 l), the aircraft's fuel consumption gives a maximum range of 1,036 miles (900 nm), depending on power settings.
