The CP-140 Aurora is a Canadian version of the U.S. Navy's turboprop-powered Lockheed P-3 Orion long-range land-based maritime patrol aircraft, with an enhanced anti-submarine warfare (ASW) electronics suite. These electronics are similar to those on S-3 Viking carrier-based ASW patrol aircraft, which were previously operated by the U.S. Navy.
