The Harke was a flying crane helicopter developed from the Mi-6 Hook (see separate database entry).
The Harke retained the same dynamics as the Hook, but had a modified fuselage and landing gear. The fuselage was considerably altered, becoming a long, slender structure held above the cargo load by stalky quadricycle landing gear designed to straddle bulky loads.
