The French-developed Puma/Super Puma helicopters are twin-engine, multi-role military aircraft of about the same size and weight as the U.S. UH-60 Black Hawk. These aircraft have been adapted for use in combat transport, VIP transport, electronic intelligence (ELINT) and anti-submarine warfare (ASW) roles. The AS 532 Super Puma series differs from the SA330 Puma series in having an improved rotor system, more powerful engines, stretched fuselage and modified nose shape.
