The AC332 light twin helicopter -- dubbed "Auspicious Bird" in Mandarin -- is being developed by Aviation Industry Corp. of China (AVIC) for civil and parapublic missions. Described by some as a cross between the Bell 429 and Airbus H145, the AC332 features a four-blade main rotor, ducted tail rotor, maximum takeoff weight of around 8,820 lb (4,000 kg) and seating for up to 10 passengers and two crew.
