Rafale multirole fighter

The Rafale (Squall) is a multirole advanced combat fighter that was designed to replace seven different major combat aircraft types in French service. In recognition of the need to combine as many missions as possible in one airframe, Dassault refers to the F2 and later variants as "omnirole" aircraft. Dassault has also won several export sales for the Rafale. Its advanced technology and design are generally comparable to the Swedish JAS 39 Gripen and the Eurofighter Typhoon.
