The F-106 Delta Dart is a U.S. high-altitude fighter-interceptor, evolved from the F-102 Delta Dagger. This aircraft was the principal U.S. strategic defensive fighter of the 1960s and 1970s. It was fast and, for its time and its particular role, highly effective.
