Scaled Composites' Proteus is a twin turbofan high-altitude, multimission experimental aircraft. The Proteus was originally designed for Northrop Grumman to model the potential of a long-endurance, high-altitude, precision-strike UAV, and for NASA as part of the Environmental Research Aircraft and Sensor Technology (ERAST) project.
