The Caribou is a Canadian-built, short-takeoff-and-landing (STOL) tactical transport that can carry cargo and passengers, as well as drop paratroops. The product of discussions between De Havilland of Canada and the U.S. and Canadian armies in the mid-1950s, it proved to be a successful design.
