The BAC 111 (often rendered BAC 1-11) was a short- to medium-range civil airliner that saw limited military use, primarily as a VIP transport.
The compact design had a low wing positioned aft of mid-fuselage. It was built around a three-shear-web torsion box swept 20 degrees at the quarter-chord and mounted at 2.5 degrees of incidence and a 2-degree dihedral angle.
