FB-111 Aardvark theater bomber

The FB-111 was the strategic/theater bomber version of the U.S. F-111 multi-purpose aircraft (see separate database entry for F-111).

The FB-111 design differed from the tactical strike aircraft variants by having different engines, a 3.5-ft (1.07-m) extension on each wingtip, strengthened landing gear and fuselage, greater fuel capacity and improved avionics.
