The Buccaneer was a two-seat British attack aircraft originally designed for carrier-based anti-ship bombing operations by the Royal Navy (RN), but subsequently transferred to the Royal Air Force (RAF) for use in ground attack missions with the demise of the RN's conventional carrier force.
