SkyStar family of aerostats

The SkyStar 300, a small aerostat designed for surveillance, reconnaissance and target detection missions, was the first aerostat in the SkyStar family. It can remain airborne for 72 hours at altitudes of up to 1,000 feet (300 m) with a payload of 77 lb (35 kg). The system is battery-operated and designed to be rapidly deployable by two to three soldiers from a vehicle or on foot.
