Congo Crisis Intensifies

Fighting in the Congo has picked up between government troops and rebels led
by renegade Gen. Laurent Nkunda not far from the regional capital of Goma
in the eastern part of the country. Hundreds of thousands of Congolese have fled their
homes due to the conflict between the army and various militias, including Nkunda's
forces. Nkunda is shown in early November surrounded by fighters at his base in Tebero.
