China Hosts Major Military Exercises Around Taiwan

China has conducted a two-day long military exercise in the waters surrounding Taiwan, dubbed Joint Sword 2024A. The exercise, beginning on the morning of May 23, involved sea-air combat drills including patrols, mock strikes and combined arms operations.
