Airbus Awarded $250 Million Contract Extension to Support U.K. A400M Fleet

On Oct. 1, 2026, the U.K. Ministry of Defense extended a US$250.76 million (GBP 190 million) support contract with Airbus for the Royal Air Force’s (RAF) A400M Atlas fleet. The agreement aims to increase daily aircraft availability from 10 to 13 by the end of 2027.

The A400M Atlas provides tactical and strategic airlift for troop deployments, humanitarian relief, and global operations. This 31-month extension is planned to run through April 2029, enhancing overall aircraft availability and fleet readiness.
