location
PLF activities are mainly centered in Lebanon. However, the Abu Abbas PLF faction was originally based in Tunisia until the Achille Lauro attack (see below for more details). The group then moved its base to Iraq. Factions of the group have launched many attacks on Israel from Lebanon.
