OVERVIEW
The Royal Swedish Air Force is headquartered in Stockholm. It does not operate armed helicopters, but does have several helicopter search-and-rescue/anti-submarine units. The Swedish air force consists of:
6 fighter squadrons 1 transport/ISR/airborne surveillance squadron 1 training squadron 1 air defense battalion 3 helicopter squadrons
PERSONNEL STRENGTH
The active air force totals about 2,700 personnel.
