OVERVIEW

Denmark's extensive territorial responsibilities have left the navy with a major mission. Defense responsibilities extend from the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea to the Faeroe Islands (a self-governing overseas administrative division located between Norway and Iceland), as well as to Greenland.
