OVERVIEW

The primary mission of the Czech air force is defending Czech airspace. It also provides air support for ground troops and air transport for government personnel.

The Czech air force is organized into the following:

  1 tactical air corps, with
    2 fighter/ground attack squadrons
    2 transport squadrons
    2 transport helicopter squadrons
    1 attack helicopter squadron
    1 air defense regiment
    1 SAR squadron
    1 training squadron
