Kazakhstan is a Central Asian nation whose origins are derived from a mixture of Turkic and Mongol nomadic tribes that migrated into the area between the 13th and 15th centuries. By the 16th century, a common language, culture, and economy had formed. This uniformity was known as the Kazakh Khanate, a series of family networks united in a loose confederation of the Great, Middle, and Little Hordes (jüz).
