OVERVIEW
The Republic of China Air Force (RoCAF) is responsible for air combat, reconnaissance, transport and training operations. Both the army and navy maintain organic air wings to support ground and maritime functions and exercise frequently with the RoCAF.
The primary strategic goal of the RoCAF is to controlTaiwanese airspace and dominance over the Taiwan Strait. Sea-lane control and protection of offshore economic zones and interests are also important.
